Lahore,31 Oct – Punjab Employees Social Security Institute’s 134th meeting of the board of Governors held in Lahore which was chaired by Raja Ashfaq Sarwar provincial Minister for Labour & Human Resource, the meeting focused on ongoing construction projects under PESSI in different areas of Punjab attended by commissioner PESSI, Vice Commissioner PESSI, Medical Advisor PESSI, General Secretary of All Pakistan Trade Union Federation, President Labour Wing, Vice President Pakistan Workers Federation, Head of Corporate Affairs Nestle Pakistan and representatives of Health & Industries departments participated in the meeting.
The Minister directed the department to expedite all the projects running under PESSI and complete all the buildings as soon as possible without any delay. Moreover, Sarwar ordered to raise the incentives of doctors that are working in social security hospitals in equal to those doctors working in the other department so that they can perform their duty in the far flung areas without any difficulty.
Minister assured all the doctors working in social security hospitals of Punjab to provide healthcare allowance. While chairing the meeting, he said that no medical seat should be laid vacant at any cost. Moreover he also directed to create 43 technologist seats so that the labour class should be provided state of the art medical facilities.
At the end, the Minister also announced the construction of 50-beded hospital in Rahim Yar Khan so that the people of South Punjab should be benefited from the medical facilities at their doorstep.
