Survey reveals 36000 Transgender persons in Pakistan reported HIV positive

PESHAWAR, KPK, PAKISTAN: A transgender individual who had gunshot injuries yielded to his harms in Peshawar on Sunday, 26th November, 2017.

An unidentified man with weapons directed the blameless transgender named Spogmai, in his apartment in Khyber Super Market area in the jurisdiction of Gulberg Police Station.

“A transgender was shot and shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) in a critical condition,” A police official, told a private media outlet.

Meanwhile, LRH spokesperson Asim Khan said Spogmai was undergoing treatment at the hospital after he received six bullets and later died of injuries.

The reason behind the occurrence could not be directly discovered.

It is relevant to mention here that over 50 transgender persons have been slain across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa since 2015. This is yet another mournful case in a period of 2 years.
