Youth Advocacy Network organizes walk to aware people about Climate Change

LAHORE 21 NOV : To create awareness about Climate Change and Air Pollution, a mass awareness walk was organized here on Friday by the Youth Advocacy Network  in collaboration with CHANAN Development and LEADS Foundation. The walk stared from Liberty Chowk and ended at near Hockey Stadium Lahore was attended by some 150 representatives of different civil society organizations. The participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against air pollution and climate change were inviting the people to work for the protection of environment. Mr. Fsahat Ul Hassan chairman Youth Advocacy Network while talking to media said “We demand that government should take serious steps on trash burning and cutting trees as laws are already in place but needs serious implementation”

Climate Change is a real issue that doesn’t know borders, we need to act now said Ayesha another participant of walk.  By planting more trees and reducing our energy needs among others, we  are safeguarding a future for generations to come.
