New York – The meeting of the high-level political forum on sustainable development in 2017 convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council, concluded on Wednesday, 19 July 2017; including the three-day ministerial meeting of the forum.
Fsahat-Ul-Hassan Chairperson ‘Youth Advocacy Network’ and Saba Ismail of ‘Aware Girls’ represented Pakistan in the forum. Both the yound leaders also met Permanent Representative of Pakistan to UN Dr. Maleeha Lodhi and newly appointed UN Youth Envoy.
Fsahat while talking to Capital Times said the SDGs address the needs of people in both developed and developing countries, emphasizing that no one should be left behind. Broad and ambitious in scope, the Agenda addresses the three dimensions of sustainable development: social, economic and environmental, as well as important aspects related to peace, justice and effective institutions.
